In the early 1900s, following the Russian Revolution, Vladimir Lenin, leader of the Bolshevik party, developed a political strategy to advance Russia toward his communist goals. Lenin feared that Russia’s transition into communism would be hindered by people who lacked the vision to fully embrace it. To protect the ideological aims of communism from the unenlightened working class, Lenin argued that a group of insiders, the vanguards, was necessary to lead the organization and select its leaders—the professional revolutionaries. These professional revolutionaries would not only help protect communism from outside influences but were also responsible for educating the lower-level proletariat working class in communist ideology, raising the amateur to the level of a revolutionary.
Fast forward to 2024, and we see a strikingly similar event within the Democrat Party and the presidential nomination of Kamala Harris. Twenty-four hours after America learned President Joe Biden would not continue his run for reelection, Vice President Kamala Harris secured more than the 1,976 delegates needed to be the Democrat nominee. Right-wing commentators speculated about Biden’s replacement and expected significant infighting within the Democrat Party as they approached the Democratic National Convention in August. Oddly, Harris was unchallenged for the position, receiving numerous endorsements from the Democrat vanguard, like the Obamas, but she has yet to receive endorsements from Democrat voters. There was no democratic primary, and the proletariat Democrat voters had no choice in who would represent their views in the upcoming presidential election.
Kamala Harris has faced the public before, after entering the 2020 Democratic Primary, but her campaign ended quickly, dropping out in 2019 before any voting took place. Her campaign team attributed this to a lack of funding. Ben Shapiro points out in the Daily Wire mini-documentary Scamala: Kamala Harris Unmasked that Harris “has never been a populist politician,” and receives most of her support from the party vanguards, media propagandists, and political elites.
Campaign funding doesn’t seem to be a problem anymore, as Harris raised $81 million on day one and over $500 million in the last month. Her campaign team claims that most of this day-one funding came from grassroots donations, a difficult pill to swallow given her previous campaign funding issues.
Like the Leninist vanguards, Democrats and Harris’ campaign team appear to be shielding Americans from knowing their ideological aims at all costs. If you visit Kamala Harris’ campaign website, you will find plenty of information about donating to her cause, but you won’t find any platform or policies. It seems she is running on nothing more than vibes and radical joy.
We have seen very little from Kamala Harris—she has done the standard scripted rally but has, until recently, avoided media interviews. Last week, Harris gave her first media interview with CNN, an 18-minute conversation with Dana Bash, while former President Donald Trump has conducted multiple in-depth interviews, some lasting well over an hour. During her interview, Harris struggled to answer one of the most basic questions for any presidential candidate: “What will you do on your first day in office?” Harris dodged any specific policy and said she offered a “new way forward.”
There are two possible reasons for Kamala’s lack of interviews and policies. Either she is unprepared, which would make her unfit to hold the most powerful political position in the world, or her actual policies are so radical that she must stick to a dedicated script, preventing voters from seeing who she really is. The latter may explain her campaign’s relentless personal attacks on former President Donald Trump.
In the last few years, it has become apparent to observers that the left has adopted a classic propaganda technique: accuse your enemy of what you are doing. It’s like King Ahab accusing Elijah of being the troublemaker in Israel when the real troublemaker was Ahab himself, or when the Pharisees accused Jesus of being Beelzebub when He healed the blind mute man.
Americans have watched Donald Trump go through a political witch hunt, with Democrats doing everything in their power to prevent him from running for re-election. We’ve seen the political elite and mainstream media praise Biden’s cognitive abilities and assure us he is healthy enough to serve a second term. Today, Trump is the Republican nominee despite all the attacks, and Biden has not only dropped out but has been revealed to have failing health.
Over the last year, Democrats have campaigned on the message that re-electing former President Trump would “end our democracy,” and Democrat voters bought the message. However, it appears that Vice President Kamala was intentionally selected by the vanguards of the party instead of Democrat voters, and if the vanguard continues to have its way, it may be the end of democracy in America.
Democrats have consistently said one thing and done another, and the undemocratic selection of Vice President Kamala Harris makes me wonder if, as Democrats have said, “Democracy is on the ballot.” The only catch is, a vote for democracy is a vote against the Democrat party that says it’s on the ballot. Thankfully, we do not have to worry about any of their other claims, and Democrats will do everything in their power to “protect free and fair elections.”
