Regular people aren’t the only ones whose Zoom work calls are interrupted by their children: celebrities’ kids are also crashing their video interviews and appearances. Ah, a bit of human camaraderie and non-polarization during all of this COVID-19 stuff for once. The list of celebrities whose kids are now known world-wide include Jimmy Fallon, Kim Kardashian, Tina Fey, and Chris Hemsworth. “Sorry, my son is throwing pillows at the computer,” Hemsworth apologized at one point. Sound familiar, anyone? Jimmy Fallon’s adorable dimple-cheeked daughter used him as a human jungle gym, and Jason Bateman’s daughter made an appearance through the window behind him. All of this brings back memories of “BBC Dad.” The video of the 2017 live interview went viral after his daughter, then son, then wife (in an attempt to corral them) traipsed into the room during his call.
Governor of California Gavin Newsom took Kim Kardashian’s PSA as an opportunity to bolster his stay-home order. His caption on her reposted video read: “Staying at home means having so much fun with your kids! Just look at how much fun @kimkardashian and North West are having! By staying home, you’re saving lives. Keep it up, California!”
These are all set ups; celebrities are famished for fame.
