WASHINGTON, D.C. — Vice President J.D. Vance’s recent comments about Europe committing cultural suicide by allowing waves of unassimilated migrants have stirred controversy, but let’s be clear — J.D. is offering nothing new. His concerns about assimilation and the dangers of unchecked immigration are not radical ideas. They are the same principles the Founding Fathers warned about over two centuries ago.
The idea that a nation thrives when its people share common values, language, and customs is a bedrock principle of American history. Benjamin Franklin, one of America’s greatest minds, warned about the dangers of allowing large groups of unassimilated immigrants to reshape a society: “[They] will never adopt our language or customs, any more than they can acquire our complexion.”
Franklin wasn’t speaking from prejudice but from a deep understanding of the fragile balance that sustains a republic. He knew that cultural incompatibility leads to division, resentment, and ultimately, societal collapse.
When Vance warns that Europe is committing cultural suicide, he’s not presenting some novel, extremist ideology. He’s simply repeating what Franklin, Washington, and Adams knew to be true: a nation cannot survive if large segments of the population reject its values and refuse to assimilate.
This concept was so foundational that John Adams famously declared: “Our Constitution was made only for a moral and religious people. It is wholly inadequate to the government of any other.”
Adams recognized that a republic depends on shared moral foundations and a population willing to uphold those values. Without this, chaos and disorder follow.
Vance’s warnings aren’t rooted in fear or hatred — they’re grounded in historical precedent. Look at what’s happening in Europe today. In countries like France, Sweden, and Germany, unassimilated migrants have created parallel societies, rejecting the host nation’s culture while benefiting from its welfare systems. No-go zones, skyrocketing crime, and social unrest have become the norm, not the exception.
And yet, when Vance highlights these facts, the progressive media portrays him as an extremist. But what’s truly extreme? Defending Western civilization and Christian values, or dismantling them under the guise of inclusivity?
The progressive left isn’t merely indifferent to the dangers of unassimilated immigration — they are actively cheering it on. Why? Because they despise the very foundations upon which America was built. Progressives see Christian morality, meritocracy, and individual responsibility as obstacles to be torn down. Their goal is not to reform America but to dismantle it and replace it with a fractured, multicultural dystopia where American values are relics of the past.
By promoting mass migration without assimilation, progressives aren’t advocating for diversity — they’re sowing the seeds of division.
We know that progressives despise meritocracy. We know they reject Christian values. But how far are they willing to go to tear down America’s culture and way of life? Are they willing to sacrifice national security and future generations just to advance their radical agenda?
Vance isn’t reinventing the wheel. He’s reminding us of the timeless principles that built America — principles that progressives have conveniently chosen to ignore. Assimilation, shared values, and cultural cohesion aren’t optional if a nation hopes to survive.
The Founders knew this. J.D. Vance knows this. The question is — will America wake up and remember before it’s too late?
