NEW YORK, NY — In yet another shameless display of partisan propaganda, the co-hosts of ABC’s The View erupted in laughter and applause as they discussed a recent controversy involving former Trump officials and alleged mishandling of encrypted messages. While giddy about the idea that some of the officials might face jail time, the hosts conveniently ignored similar or worse offenses committed by figures in their own political camp.
During the segment, co-hosts Joy Behar and Sunny Hostin mocked Trump allies for allegedly deleting or mishandling text messages during the January 6 investigation. Whoopi Goldberg went so far as to suggest that legal action was warranted, with the panel insinuating—without evidence—that criminal wrongdoing was not only likely but deserved.
What’s astonishing is the utter lack of self-awareness. Where was this righteous indignation when Hillary Clinton deleted 33,000 emails from a private server after receiving a subpoena? Where were these principled cries for justice when Hunter Biden’s laptop—full of questionable foreign dealings—was dismissed as “Russian disinformation” by their media allies?
The View has never pretended to be an objective show, but this episode exposed just how deeply entrenched it is in left-wing groupthink. Rather than engaging in honest discussion, the panelists acted as enforcers of Democratic Party orthodoxy, cheering on legal repercussions for conservatives while turning a blind eye to their own side’s mounting scandals.
There’s a reason The View never brings up the classified documents found in Joe Biden’s garage. Or the fact that Nancy Pelosi’s stock portfolio somehow always seems to outperform the market. Or that the FBI’s credibility was called into question after its own agents interfered with a presidential election narrative.
The hypocrisy isn’t just glaring—it’s intentional. The hosts aren’t interested in justice. They’re interested in punishing their political enemies and rewarding their friends. It’s not journalism. It’s not commentary. It’s theater for the MSNBC crowd.
The texts in question, reportedly from Secret Service members and Trump officials during the January 6 incident, are still under investigation. Yet The View hosts have already tried and convicted those involved in the court of public opinion—an opinion shaped by their disdain for anyone who disagrees with their narrative.
Let’s be clear: if laws were broken, there should be accountability. But accountability must be consistent. You don’t get to demand jail time for Trump’s team while defending the destruction of evidence, stonewalling of investigations, and double standards of Democrats in power.
The Left’s favorite daytime talk show once again proved it’s more about scoring political points than pursuing truth. The View's celebration of the Trump texting controversy is not about upholding justice—it’s about fueling the narrative that only conservatives are corrupt, and only liberals are virtuous.
If the co-hosts truly cared about transparency and the rule of law, they’d start by cleaning up their own side. Until then, their moral outrage rings hollow.
